I'm currently a Learning & Development Consultant at The Ohio State University's James Cancer Hospital where I design virtual reality training in the Unity game engine. I've previously worked as a department technical director at DreamWorks Animation, working on pipelines and supporting rigging and animation. I've also been a technical artist for the LDS motion pictures studio, and an R&D engineering intern at DreamWorks Animation and Pixar Animation Studios.
I have an MFA in design from the Ohio State University where I studied board game design, board game design pedagogy, and games engines for animation. My favorite part of my MFA was teaching an undergraduate board game design course. I also have a masters degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, where I worked on 2D/3D hybrid animation, extending the animation method used by Disney Feature Animation on "Paperman".
I like animation, modern designer board games, and spending time with my wife and 4 children.
